Easter Inspirations: Pie-a-thon

Easter Weekend is just one week away! How quickly has that come round? Christmas honestly feels like it was 2 weeks ago, let alone 3 months!

Another week means another 5 Inspirations for your Easter Weekend tables, and what better way to round off a delicious homemade meal than with a homemade pie for pud?

Good Housekeeping recently made a 20 recipe guide on the best Easter Pies, and while they all look DELICIOUS, I thought I'd share my favourite 5 to get you inspired. There's even a vegan friendly recipe which is also gluten-free, so no matter who you're catering for, there's always a recipe.

Without further a do...

Pear Crumb Pie

We have a never ending debate in our house of whether to have a crumble or a pie, mainly because half of us prefer pie, while the other half prefer a crumble. So you can never win. Unless you combine the two...served with warm custard, or a little vanilla ice cream, this pie satisfies the sweetest of teeth, as well as using some yummy fresh fruit. This recipe is from the previously mentioned Good Housekeeping website, and it fits the bill.

Salted Caramel Peanut Butter Fudge Pie

Now if you're looking for a super indulgent recipe to finish off your weekend, then this is totally the one for you. Packed with chocolate, peanuts, caramel and fudge, this dessert is perfect for Easter weekend. Find the recipe here.

Very Berry Apple Pie

I feel like berries are great for anytime of the year. But having them in the Spring feels different. With summer on the horizon and winter far behind us, step into the warmth with this delicious recipe...it balances the natural tartness of cranberries with sweet and juicy apples, as well as cherries, blueberries and raspberries.

Coconut Cream Pie

This recipe from The Minimalist Baker is VEGAN and GLUTEN-FREE. Light, fluffy and including only 10 ingredients, this dessert will go down a storm at your Easter weekend celebrations, and is perfect for those with dietary requirements. It's also filled with coconut in 5 different ways (just in case you were concerned it would be light on the coconut side...)

Honey Lemon Chiffon Pie

Host the Toast's Honey Lemon Chiffon Pie is my favourite recipe out of Good Housekeeping's 20 Easter Pies. You can't beat the wondrous flavour combination that is honey and lemon, and this pie will honestly make your guests go wow. It looks incredible, and is finished with mini bees and a honeycomb style topping. Finished with a plaited crust, it screams Easter, and will brighten up your table.

And there you have it, our Easter Inspirations is over for yet another week, keep your eyes peeled for our top 5 Easter inspired drinks in our final post just in time for Easter.
